About.
Maximiliane Norwood - musician and artepreneur (Tonali 2024) - studied historical performance practice | baroque violin (B.A. 2023) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with an Erasmus exchange semester at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Specializing, for one part, in early music, she gives concerts on the baroque violin, baroque viola and the viola d'amore and plays in various baroque ensembles in Germany and Europe. Her studies brought her to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where she explored the practices of traditional Mongolian instruments and throat singing. As a scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin | Live Music Now she regularly gives duo and solo concerts. Growing up with traditional Bavarian Folk Music, this music style became a big part of her life. She teaches at folk music academies and has two folk music ensembles. Currently, she is adding to her expertise in different musical styles by studying Jazz Violin at the Music University of Munich. Maximiliane Norwood ultimately wants to combine these two fascinating styles to be able to present new music experiences and modern concert formats, as well as inviting AI technology and interdisciplinary projects into the mix. Since September 2025 she is doing an Erasmus+ exchange year at Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavik. There she is enrolled in the master's program NAIP - New Audiences and Innovative Practice and wants to finish this Master of Arts in Reykjavik.
Social Commitment.
During her bachelor's degree at the Music University in Munich, Maximiliane volunteered as a student representative. She gained a profound insight into university politics, learned communicating and implementing her values without conflict and paid special attention to a successful student environment achieved through the harmonious discourse between student body and lecturers. As a member of the study grant commission, she got a glimpse of financial university policy and as a tutor for international students, she was concerned with networking international students with each other to create the most pleasant and familiar environment for the newcomers or for students with possible language barriers.
Since a serious accident 2021 volunteering has become even more important and crucial for Maximiliane. In August 2024 she travelled to South Turkey - financed at her own cost (approx. 1000$) - to build four houses with a group of 60 volunteers for the earthquake victims of February 2023. She will remember the unique stories of the families and all the people she has met there for a long time. In 2023, 2024 and 2025 she campaigned for Ukraine with three benefit concerts. Since 2024 she demonstrates against genocide in Palestine and for the observance of their human rights. Since 2025 she does volunteer work at the Women's therapy center Munich helping a client get her apartment back to a clean and organized state.
Respectful and kind interaction in everyday life as well as in conflict situations is very important to Maximiliane.

Baldham Virtuoso Trio.
The Baldham Virtuoso Trio plays alpine folk music and salon music and has particularly taken on the repertoire of the slow "Laendlers" of Bavaria and Austria. In addition to this unique passion, they play traditional Munich and Viennese "Schrammelpieces" in the well-known Reiter-Holl-Kiem formation from Tegernsee, Bavaria with zither, violin and double guitar.
Gertrud Huber and Maximiliane Norwood have been playing in this formation for a long time as they are mother and daughter. Their accompanist on the double guitar is currently Reinhold Schmid.
The Baldhamer Virtuoso Trio debuted on the well-known Bavarian TV-show "Die Wirtshausmusikanten" in 2022.
